Komi Model Forest will be Represented at Global Forum held in Spain
The 4th Global Forum of Model Forests will be held in March 2011 in Spain (see http://www.globalforum2011.net). The representatives of the current Russian Model Forests will take part in this event.
As it is known already Komi Model Forest is the member of the International Model Forest Network. That is why the Secretariat of the Forum has requested Silver Taiga Foundation to form a delegation from Russia which will represent current Model Forests of Russia at the Forum. Unfortunately the idea of Model Forests is not supported on the federal level but Model Forests are functioning on the regional level and the basis of some interested institutions’ support. The representatives of current Model Forests of Russia (Komi Model Forest, Pskov Model Forest, Kologriv Model Forest (Kostroma region) and Kovdozersk Model Forest (Murmansk region) will go to Spain in March 2011.
