How to Preserve Mushrooms and Berries Sites?
Silver Taiga Foundation has issued a booklet «Recommendations on mushrooms and berries sites allocation important for the local population» written in the Russian language by Yury Pautov and Dmitry Zasukhin under Forest Village Project.
The recommendations are meant for forestry specialists, local authorities of the Komi Republic, activists and for everyone interested in a complex multiple forest resources use and sustainable forest management implementation.
The booklet combines the experience of mushrooms and berries sites allocation gained under voluntary certification process in Priluzje, Koigorodok and Sysola regions of Komi. The recommendations are based on the «Regulations of mushrooms and berries sites allocation on the territory of the State Forestry Fund» approved in 2004 by environmental authorities of the Komi Republic.
