Udora region met Green Team
The environmental propaganda team called Green Team, which is organized by the staff of the Koslan Central Library within the Model River Mezen Project, visited seven locations in Udora region in August for two weeks.
The creative team showed theatrical performance “Together for a Clean House” in villages Chernutyevo, Butkan, Ertom, Solnechnyi, Blagoevo and Usogorsk. It was met by adults and children with great interest. For example, in the village of Bolshaya Pyssa about sixty people came to the meeting that is unusual for the summer time, because everyone gathers crop in the fields.
Green Team was organized to strengthen the local population in this region, to draw their attention to the problems of the environment, and first of all to the problems of the river using what is very important for people from Udora region. Therefore, the significant task of Green Team was to inform residents of the villages about the goals of the Model River Mezen Project and explain that their help is also needed.
The propaganda team consisted of students from Koslan who spent their summer time in their parents’ houses, and the staff of the Central Library. The creative team also used interactive methods, they held a quiz about several types of fish and awarded the winners. The schoolchildren took part in the quest orientation. The propaganda team successfully used the projects of last year’s competition for the best information poster of the salmon conservation, which was organized thanks to the cooperation of the Udora region libraries with the Model River Mezen Project.
According to Ludmila Obrezkova, the leading specialist of the central library, the leading specialist of the central library, the local houses of culture supported the participants of the Green Team, they also provided the necessary equipment.
In practice, a half-forgotten kind of job such as propaganda team can become quite modern and useful if you can make it topical and can find creative ways to implement the idea.
